Science:

The Forest Ecosystem and Animals

During class we have learned about the characteristics of the forest ecosystem. We learned that the forest ecosystem is an ecosystem that has a lot of plants and has a lot of different types of organisms in a small space. There are five different types of forest ecosystems: tropical evergreen, tropical deciduous forest, temperate evergreen forest, temperate deciduous forest, and taiga.

Tropical Evergreen:

Tropical Deciduous Forest:

Temperate Evergreen Forest:

Temperate Deciduous Forest:

Taiga:

Since we are going to be learning about the animals that live in these different ecosystems, please find one animal from one of the ecosystems. When you find an animal please list the scientific name and what ecosystem it is in.
For example:
Grey Wolf- Canis lupus, Taiga

    1. These birds are some of the most beautiful birds I have ever seen! These birds like large trees for food and to have babies.

    1. Raccoon is a great choice! In the temperate deciduous forest, the raccoon uses the tress to climb up for safety whenever it feels threatened.
